“Hold On”: Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole Tourism launches new lockdown campaign.

Updated: May 12, 2021

A NEW CAMPAIGN urging people to adhere to national guidelines during the latest lockdown has been launched by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Tourism in partnership with creative social media agency, Soul Motion.

“Hold On” has been displayed across the three destinations in a bid to help and inspire people dig deep and stay safe during a challenging time as the nation is locked down once again.

Seventy-foot letters were written into the sand at Sandbanks Beach, a message was displayed across the visual display unit at Bournemouth Pier and bedsheets laid out at Highcliffe Castle to help boost the public health message. The bedsheets will also be donated to charity once lockdown rules are lifted.

Producer and Founder of Soul Motion, Sam Merrick said, "we wanted to instil this emotive message of how important it is to keep trying, to hold on that little bit more, and remind residents and visitors alike that there is an end in sight and specifically to visitors, that these golden sands aren’t going anywhere and they will still be here for you to enjoy as and when it is deemed safe to do so.”
